PMS-ME respects the privacy of its visitors, story submitters, and account holders. This policy explains the information PMS-ME may collect, why it is used, and the services involved in operating and protecting the site.

Information You Provide

When you submit a story, PMS-ME may receive the story and title, city, category, display name, anonymity preference, and email address that you choose to provide. Email addresses submitted with stories are not displayed publicly. If you create an account, PMS-ME also receives the account information and preferences you provide.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to operate the site, review and moderate submitted stories, publish approved content, administer user accounts and preferences, send requested or administrative emails, prevent abuse and spam, and maintain the security and reliability of PMS-ME.

Spam and Abuse Prevention

PMS-ME uses automated security measures to identify possible spam and automated submissions. These measures may consider whether hidden anti-bot fields were completed, how quickly a submission was made, and the frequency of submissions from the same network connection. PMS-ME may store a one-way hash derived from an IP address for rate-limiting purposes rather than storing the raw IP address in its submission-rate records.

Cloudflare Turnstile

PMS-ME uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect the website against spam, automated submissions, and malicious activity. Turnstile processes security signals associated with a visitor and browser in order to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic. Cloudflare describes these signals and its processing practices in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Service Providers

PMS-ME uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate website functions such as hosting, security, data storage, and email delivery. Information may be processed by those providers when necessary to provide those services.

Retention

Information is retained as reasonably necessary to operate PMS-ME and its moderation, account, security, and communication features. Rejected story submissions are currently retained for up to 30 days unless a moderator restores or permanently deletes them sooner.

Your Choices

You may choose to request anonymous publication when submitting a story. Registered users may manage available account and email preferences through their account. Closing an account removes the associated account records but does not automatically remove stories that were submitted or published separately.

Changes to This Policy

PMS-ME may update this Privacy Policy as the site's features, security measures, or service providers change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
